In the Municipality of Polichnitos we will also find Lisvori. The settlement is full of vitality. The inhabitants are mainly engaged in cultivating the land. Anise is also produced here, an aromatic plant whose seeds are used in the preparation of ouzo.
The most aromatic oils of Lesvos are produced here. It is said that the "Temenos" area has the oldest olive trees on the island. Onions, clover and livestock products are also produced, while the rusks and breads made from local wheat are famous. At the location "Kourtir" the existence of ruins of sunken port facilities has been established. At the location "Skamioudi" there are ruins of a Byzantine fort.
